Everyone deserves the independence that driving brings. Our adapted vehicles feature hand controls, steering aids, and specialist equipment tailored to your individual needs.
Our adapted driving programme removes physical barriers so you can focus on learning to drive safely and confidently across Manchester.
Before any lessons begin, we arrange a free consultation to understand your physical requirements, discuss which adaptations would work best for you, and explain the DVLA notification process. This meeting ensures that your first lesson is productive rather than administrative.
Based on your consultation, we fit the appropriate adaptations to your training vehicle. Whether you need hand controls, pedal modifications, steering aids, or a combination, everything is set up and tested before you arrive. We also ensure our dual controls work seamlessly alongside your adaptations for maximum safety.
Your lesson plan is fully personalised. We start with familiarisation with the adapted controls in a quiet area, then progressively introduce road types and traffic conditions as your confidence and skill develop. There is no standardised timeline—you progress at exactly the pace that works for you.
You must notify the DVLA of any medical condition that could affect your driving. Your provisional licence may include specific restriction codes for the adaptations you use.
Every DriveSQ student gets free access to our Student Portal with 700+ DVSA theory questions, 14 mock tests, hazard perception training, and progress tracking.
Adapted vehicle lessons open up a world of freedom. WhatsApp us to discuss your needs.
Lessons around Pendleton use real local roads including Fitzwarren Street, Pendleton Way and Eccles Old Road, so by the time you're ready for your test you've already driven the streets you'll use every day after passing. Buile Hill Park, Salford's second-oldest park covering 86 acres, was regularly visited by painter L.S. Lowry before he became famous, and its Grade II listed mansion is rumoured to have inspired Frances Hodgson Burnett while writing The Secret Garden.
We also plan around school-run traffic near St George's CE Primary School and St Sebastian's RC Primary School, using quieter spots like Buile Hill Park for early manoeuvre practice before stepping up to busier sections of Fitzwarren Street.
Test centre: most learners around Pendleton test at Salford (Fire Station) Driving Test Centre, Liverpool Street, Ordsall, Salford, M5 4LE; mock tests are planned around the routes examiners actually use from there.
“Booking was easy and my instructor adapted lessons around St George's CE Primary School traffic without me even having to ask.” – Priya, Pendleton
