Why Choose Weekend Lessons?

For many people, weekdays simply do not work. DriveSQ offers comprehensive Saturday and Sunday lesson availability with no price increase.

Full-Day Saturday
Saturday lessons available from 8am to 6pm. Book a morning lesson before your weekend plans or an afternoon slot after a lie-in. Multiple back-to-back sessions available for faster progress.
Sunday Slots
Sunday lessons are popular because roads are typically quieter. This makes Sundays ideal for beginners who want a calmer introduction to driving. Available 9am to 5pm.
Same Price
Many schools add £3–5 per hour for weekend lessons. DriveSQ charges the same £35/hr on Saturday and Sunday as any other day. Your schedule does not determine your costs.
Weekend Intensives
Take 4–6 hours of lessons across Saturday and Sunday for rapid progress. Weekend intensives are popular with full-time workers who want to maximise their free time.

What Weekend Lessons Offer

Quieter Roads, Faster Learning

Weekend traffic patterns in Manchester are noticeably different from weekdays. Saturday mornings are quieter than rush hour, making them ideal for practising complex junctions without the pressure of heavy commuter traffic. Sunday mornings are even calmer, providing a relaxed environment for beginners. As the day progresses, traffic builds around shopping areas, giving you a natural progression from quiet to busy conditions within a single lesson.

Weekend-Intensive Format

If you want to fast-track your learning without taking time off work, consider our weekend-intensive format. Take two 2-hour lessons on Saturday and two more on Sunday, totalling 8 hours per weekend. Over three consecutive weekends, you cover 24 hours of tuition, which is enough to significantly advance your skills or even reach test-readiness if you have some prior experience.

Different Driving Conditions

Weekend driving brings different challenges compared to weekday lessons. You encounter more recreational traffic, families walking near parks, cyclists on leisure routes, and busier car parks around shopping areas. These are all scenarios you will face as a qualified driver, so experiencing them during lessons is valuable preparation for your post-test driving life.

Best of Both: We recommend mixing weekend and weekday lessons if possible. This gives you experience with both rush-hour traffic and quieter weekend conditions, building a well-rounded skill set that prepares you for any situation.

Common Questions

Weekend Lessons FAQ

No. DriveSQ charges the same £35 per hour for Saturday and Sunday lessons. There is no weekend premium, no booking fee, and no hidden costs.

Yes. Our weekend-intensive format lets you take 4–8 hours of lessons per weekend. Over 4–5 consecutive weekends, this totals 20–40 hours of tuition, which is enough for most learners to become test-ready without taking any time off work.

Sunday mornings can be quiet, which is actually ideal for beginners. Saturday afternoons have busy shopping traffic. We plan your lesson route to match your current skill level. As you progress, we introduce busier conditions regardless of the day.

Weekend slots are our most popular, so we recommend booking at least one week in advance. Regular weekly bookings can be scheduled on a rolling basis via WhatsApp. The earlier you book, the more choice you have over time slots.
