Go from learner to licensed driver in just one week. Our DVSA approved instructors will have you test-ready by Friday — with a practical test booked at the end of the week. No shortcuts, no gimmicks, just focused daily driving that gets real results.
Everything you need to know before you book.
A 5-day intensive driving course packs weeks of regular driving lessons into a single, focused week. Instead of one or two lessons per week spread over months, you train for approximately 6 hours every day — split into a morning and afternoon session — with the same DVSA approved instructor throughout.
At DriveSQ, your week ends with a practical driving test, meaning you could hold a full UK driving licence by Friday afternoon. This format is ideal for learners who need their licence quickly for work, university, or life changes.
Unlike other schools that rush you through with unqualified instructors, every DriveSQ instructor is fully DVSA approved and experienced in intensive course delivery. We also provide a free student learning app so you can revise theory and hazard perception between sessions.

Our intensive course suits a range of learners — but it is not right for everyone. Here is how to know if it is a good fit for you.
If you have had a few lessons before or driven informally, you will progress fastest. Prior experience means we can build on existing skills rather than starting from zero.
Need your licence for a new job, placement, or uni commute? A 5-day course is the quickest legitimate route to a full UK driving licence.
Total beginners can succeed — but it takes determination. We may recommend extending to 6 or 7 days for complete beginners. We will give you an honest assessment before you book.
Converting a foreign licence or returning to driving after years away? An intensive refresher can rebuild your confidence and road skills quickly.
Make sure you have these sorted before your course begins.
You must have a valid UK provisional licence. If you do not have one, apply on the DVLA website — it takes about a week to arrive.
You need a valid theory test pass to book a practical test. We recommend passing your theory before starting the intensive course. Our free learning app can help you prepare.
You must be able to read a number plate from 20 metres. If you wear glasses or contact lenses, bring them to every lesson.
Block out 5 full days with no other commitments. You will be driving for around 6 hours a day — it is tiring but hugely rewarding.
We are not the cheapest, but we are the best value. Here is what sets us apart.
Every instructor holds full DVSA approval. No trainees, no part-qualified staff. You learn from the best from day one.
Unlike most schools, we charge the same £33/hr whether you choose manual or automatic. No hidden auto surcharges.
Feel more comfortable learning in your own language. We have Urdu and Punjabi speaking instructors available on request.
Access our exclusive learning app at no extra cost. Practice theory, hazard perception, and review lesson notes between sessions.
We cover M1-M50, SK1-SK16, BL, OL, and WN postcodes. Door-to-door pickup from anywhere in Greater Manchester.
Our pass rate speaks for itself. With 87 reviews and a 4.9-star rating, DriveSQ is one of Manchester's most trusted driving schools.
A little preparation before your course starts can make a huge difference to your outcome.
Do not leave your theory test until the last minute. Pass it before your intensive course begins so your practical test can be booked for the end of the week. Use our free learning app to prepare.
Six hours of driving per day is mentally and physically demanding. Go to bed early each night, eat well, and stay hydrated throughout the week.
Treat this week like a full-time job. Cancel social plans, take time off work, and give yourself the best chance of absorbing everything your instructor teaches you.
You will be using the pedals for hours. Wear flat, thin-soled shoes that let you feel the pedal pressure — avoid thick trainers, heels, or heavy boots.
Use your lunch break and evenings to review what you learned. Watch YouTube videos of manoeuvres, study road signs, and go through the DriveSQ learning app.
There will be tough moments — stalling at junctions, misjudging roundabouts, nerves on busy roads. This is completely normal. Trust the process and trust your instructor.
Your instructor is there to help. If something does not make sense, ask immediately. The more you communicate, the faster you will progress.
Learners who follow our preparation advice and complete the full 5-day course have an even higher pass rate than our overall 90%+ average. Preparation is the difference between passing and needing a retest.
