Pass Plus Course in Manchester

You passed your test — congratulations. Now develop the skills your test did not cover. DriveSQ's Pass Plus course tackles motorways, night driving, adverse weather, and high-speed roads across Greater Manchester.

Beyond the Driving Test

The practical driving test assesses your ability to drive safely in standard daytime conditions on urban and suburban roads. It does not test motorway driving, night driving, or driving in heavy rain, fog, or ice. These are precisely the conditions that cause the most accidents among newly qualified drivers. Pass Plus fills that gap.

The Six Modules

Town Driving

Advanced urban techniques: complex junctions, bus lanes, tram crossings, one-way systems. Practised in Manchester city centre.

All-Weather Driving

Wet road techniques, aquaplaning awareness, fog protocols, ice and frost management. Manchester provides ample real-world weather practice.

Out of Town

Rural and semi-rural roads: bends, gradients, farm vehicles, reduced visibility. Practised on roads towards the Peak District.

Night Driving

Headlight use, dazzle management, reduced visibility assessment, pedestrian detection in darkness. Evening sessions on Manchester roads.

Dual Carriageways

A-road driving at national speed limits: overtaking, lane discipline, slip road technique. A56, A34, A6 practice routes.

Motorways

M60, M62, M56 driving: joining, lane changing, smart motorways, emergency procedures. The module most new drivers value highest.

"The motorway module alone was worth the entire Pass Plus fee. I went from terrified of the M60 to driving it confidently in one session. Should be compulsory for all new drivers."

— Daniel, Withington
